Instrumental and Singing Lessons
Lancing has four resident musicians and a team of 23 visiting instrumental specialists, offering lessons in:
- All orchestral and band instruments
- Classical and electric guitar
- Piano, organ, and voice
- Recorder, saxophone, and conducting
- Music theory and composition
A full range of school instruments is available for hire (subject to availability, with a small charge). Lessons typically last 30 minutes, but parents can request longer sessions if desired.
Given the high volume of lessons, some may occasionally overlap with academic classes, though we strive to minimise disruptions.
Music at Lancing is diverse, exciting, and accessible to all. Whether singing in the Chapel Choir, playing the trombone, joining a rock band, or working towards Grade 8, every pupil has the opportunity to be part of Lancing’s vibrant musical community.
