How does the Day look for a Lancing Pupil?
Before school
Pupils are woken by a member of the House team at around 7.00am. There is an early morning Eucharist for all those who wish to attend at 7.35am. Day pupils can arrive from 7.00am and all are welcomed to the Dining Hall for breakfast which is open from 7.30am until 8.05am. After breakfast, pupils return to their House where they will see a member of the House staff and attend registration at 8.15am. Day pupils who do not wish to have breakfast should arrive by this time. This allows pupils to ask any questions they may have or for messages to be passed on.

Chapel
As you drive up to the school you can’t miss the Chapel. It is a key feature of our campus and what goes on inside Chapel is a key part of education at Lancing. Pupils come into Chapel every week for the Whole School Eucharist as well as hymn practice and the Headmaster’s Assembly. All pupils and staff attend the Eucharist, which is at the heart of the week and integral to our community life. Pupils who are not Christian are encouraged to learn from the values and sense of community offered here by being participant observers. In addition, there are services throughout the week when pupils come as part of their House, once each half term, and the Chapel is open to pupils as a place for prayer and quiet reflection throughout the school day.
