What to Bring
Pupils are advised to limit what they bring. Things always accumulate and rooms quickly become overcrowded. Rooms for the younger years are shared and most pupils change rooms on a termly basis and are required to clear their room each major holiday. Valuable items should not be brought to school and the School Rules make clear which items are prohibited.
Sports Kit
Pupils who expect to become regular members of school cricket teams should provide their own pads, bats etc and a practice ball. Tennis and squash players are expected to provide their own racquet. Hockey players must provide their own hockey stick. Shin pads and mouth guards are compulsory for all hockey and rugby matches and practices; shin pads for all football practices and matches. All are available from the School Shop.
Money/Pocket Money
As we are cashless, we recommend using a debit card for café or shop purchases (Apple Pay can be used by Sixth form, however younger years do not have access to their phone during the day). Housemasters and Housemistresses operate a House Bank, which pupils can access regularly to deposit any money given by their parents for safekeeping. For boarders, £120 per term is generally considered sufficient for day-to-day expenses. Pupils should not carry more than £10 in cash at any time.
