Drama

There’s a wealth of Drama to get involved in at Lancing: great for those who have already been bitten by the bug, and just as much for those who fancy adding a new string to their bow! All are welcome to try out.

Productions are wide-ranging: full length school plays and musicals, shorter studio pieces, and a dedicated Junior Play in the Summer Term specially for the Third and Fourth Forms to cut their teeth.

Recent productions include Sweeney Todd, Twelfth Night, The Addams Family, Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, The Lord of the Flies, and Two. The annual Donald Bancroft One Act Playwriting competition offers the opportunity for pupils to write and direct their own work on stage.

Dancers are busy too, whether beginners or seasoned pros: current classes feature Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical, all leading up to the annual Dance Show as well of course as being embedded in musical productions.

LAMDA lessons are available whether you’re a beginner or already have some qualifications in hand. Choose from Solo or Duo Acting or Musical Theatre, or Solo Verse and Prose. To arrange these, please complete the LAMDA lesson Request Form.
