Parents as Partners

At Lancing, we deeply appreciate the trust you place in us when sending your child to the College. We recognise the importance of working closely together to provide the highest level of care and support for your child’s education and wellbeing.

We encourage strong communication between parents and the College. Your child’s Housemaster or Housemistress should be your first point of contact for day-to-day matters, and they will liaise with other staff as needed. Sharing any concerns—academic or personal—enables us to provide the best possible support for your child.

Throughout the year, you will receive the following communications from the College:

Attending parents’ meetings (largely held online), plays, concerts, sports matches, and House events is a wonderful way to stay engaged in school life and meet staff and fellow parents informally. The Lancing Parents’ Association (LPA) also organises a range of events throughout the year to foster connections within the school community. If you would like to be more involved with the LPA please email: lpa@lancing.org.uk

Parents are warmly encouraged to take part in career and professional networking initiatives to support current pupils and OLs (Lancing alumni) as they progress in their careers. If you would like to know more please email: dec@lancing.org.uk

For further support, the PSHE for Parents Seminar Series runs on selected Saturday mornings. These sessions align with the topics covered in pupils’ PSHE curriculum and offer a space for discussion, advice, and engagement on key adolescent issues. This series, titled Understanding Adolescence, has been warmly received by parents.

Throughout the year, you will receive the following communications from the College:
